Its been an amazing few weeks in Canberra. The weather could not have been more welcoming, with crisp autumn mornings and evenings, hot days and no rain at all. With one festival rolling into another, no one could complain that Canberra has no soul.
The main Enlighten arena promised world-class creativity and culture, and it overdelivered. The outstanding spectacle for me was Voala Station from Spain, a unique performance combining light, live music and an ethereal aerial display of acrobatics.
Luminous Botanicus saw the Gardens in a whole new light. This part of Enlighten focused on the micro, and promised a “fiery end” which did not disappoint.
